WWE legend Batista gives health update after looking almost unrecognizable in recent appearance

Rumors have been making rounds that WWE legend Batista could be unwell after losing significant weight. The Animal recently addressed these speculations, providing a health update.

The 55-year-old wrestling legend retired from in-ring competition over five years ago, following his loss to Triple H at WrestleMania 35. He has since become a full-time Hollywood star. The Animal recently starred in The Killer's Game, which also features Drew McIntyre. During a recent appearance, Batista seemed to have lost significant weight, looking almost unrecognizable. That sparked rumors among concerned fans questioning the retired superstar's health.

In a recent interview with BuzzFeed Celeb, the former World Heavyweight Champion addressed these speculations, assuring fans that he is well and feeling better than he did in a long time:

"Recently, there's a rumor that I'm, cuz I've lost a lot of weight, purposely, but I saw some people were questioning whether I was in bad health [laughs]. And I was like, I'm still 240 lbs and I feel better than I have in forever. Like, what do you want from me? You know, I'm not gonna be 300 lb my whole life. I'm 55 years old for God's sake," he said. Will Batista return to WWE?

While many former WWE Superstars have come out of retirement over the past few years, Batista recently disclosed that he will never compete again inside the squared circle.

In an interview with Jake's Take, The Animal explained that it was a dream for him to end his career with a match against Triple H, stating that he refuses to return because he was proud of how he left:

"It was a dream for me and it was a storybook ending. That's why I'm very proud of the way I went out and that's why I refuse to go back. Because wrestling retirement isn't really retirement. So, people don't take you seriously when you say you've retired," Batista said.

Batista has had enormous success in the Stamford-based company. It would be interesting to see if he would enter the WWE Hall of Fame soon.
