WWE legend challenging Jacob Fatu would result in one of the best matches in 2024, says Hall of Famer

Jacob Fatu has not competed in a singles match since his debut in WWE earlier this year. WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry recently expressed his desire to see The Samoan Werewolf go head-to-head with Rey Mysterio.

Last June, Fatu debuted on SmackDown to join Solo Sikoa's Bloodline. He has since become The Enforcer for the self-proclaimed Tribal Chief. Although he has wrestled in a few tag team matches, the 32-year-old has yet to go head-to-head against any superstar.

On the Busted Open podcast, The World's Strongest Man disclosed that he wants to see Fatu square off against Rey Mysterio. He proposed that the two bump into each other in the hallway before The Master of the 619 challenges The Bloodline member to a match:

"There's nobody else like Rey Mysterio in wrestling and especially in WWE. Like for Jacob Fatu to walk down the hallway and bump into Rey Mysterio and tell him to watch out, watch where you're walking. And Rey Mysterio, 'Hey men, like, I'm Rey Mysterio. How you doing?' 'I don't give a f*ck who you are. You bump my shoulder again I'm gonna throw you into that wall.' 'Listen man, if that's the way it's gonna be, then let's create one of these banger tonight and get your a** to the ring. I've battled giants my whole life and I've beat a few monsters too.' Boom, let's go!" Henry said.

The Hall of Famer added:

"Jacob Fatu and Rey Mysterio would be one of the best matches this year because I know the skill set of Rey and I've had matches with Rey and he is so easy. Like the story to tell, the big vs. the small, the fast vs. the slow, the good vs. the evil. Everything is caught up in that. It's like you don't miss any steps when you put Rey with any heel, especially if they're a big guy. It's just, man, it's just beautiful. It's made for television," he added. [From 26:03 to 27:37]

WWE legend claims Jacob Fatu has yet to show his talent to the world

On his Rikishi Fatu Off The Top podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer discussed Jacob Fatu's current run in the Stamford-based company.

The former Intercontinental Champion claimed that Fatu has yet to show his talent to the world. Rikishi pointed out that fans would not understand what he had been talking about until the 32-year-old competes in his first singles match with no outside interference:

"Jacob Fatu. I've always said that this kid here is yet to show his talent to the world. So until I see Jacob have a full one-on-one match, and the world sees him have a full one-on-one match, without no outside interference, I think the world won't understand what I've been talking about for the longest. Jacob has yet to reach his star status, as far as being a main event player," he said.

It would be interesting to see who would be Jacob Fatu's first opponent in singles competition in WWE.
