WWE legend drops out of Saturday Night's Main Event; REAL reason revealed! (Exclusive)
The reason for a WWE legend dropping out of Saturday Night's Main Event has been revealed. The special event will air live tomorrow night from the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Long Island, New York.
It was reported earlier today that Ted DiBiase withdrew from his appearance at the event tomorrow night for undisclosed reasons. In an update provided by Sportskeeda Wrestling's Senior Editor Bill Apter, DiBiase underwent a minor medical procedure, which is why he will be unable to attend tomorrow's show. Apter noted that he spoke with DiBiase and the legend was doing well.
"Mr. DiBiase has had a minor medical procedure done. He's feeling fine. He is looking forward to the holidays. He's sorry that he cannot appear at Saturday Night's Main Event but he is looking forward to probably being on one of the upcoming ones and sends his fans much love, and happy season's greetings," said Apter.
What does WWE have planned for Saturday Night's Main Event?
WWE has four title matches scheduled on the card for Saturday Night's Main Event tomorrow night.
Gunther will be defending his World Heavyweight Championship in a Triple Threat Match against Finn Balor and Damian Priest. The clash was originally supposed to be The Ring General vs. Balor, but RAW General Manager Adam Pearce decided to add Damian Priest to the bout earlier this week.
Damage CTRL's IYO SKY won a Battle Royal in November to become the number one contender for the Women's World Championship. She will be squaring off against Liv Morgan for the title at the event tomorrow night. The inaugural Women's United States Championship will be also crowned at the event.
Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens are involved in a personal rivalry on WWE SmackDown. Owens brutally attacked Randy Orton last month and hit The Viper with a Piledriver. Orton was taken out of the arena in an ambulance but still has not returned. Rhodes will defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against Kevin Owens at Saturday Night's Main Event. Drew McIntyre returned earlier this month on RAW and will be facing Sami Zayn in a singles match tomorrow as well.
Triple H handed a mystery item to Cody Rhodes ahead of Saturday Night's Main Event and noted that The American Nightmare could only use it once. It will be fascinating to see what WWE has in store for fans at the event tomorrow night.
