WWE legend Lita shockingly suggests major change; Rhea Ripley could play significant role

WWE Hall of Famer Lita recently suggested a major change for the current roster of the Stamford-based promotion. Former Women's World Champion Rhea Ripley could play a significant role if the change happens.

Lita and Trish Stratus are some of the greatest names to ever step inside the squared circle. The duo changed the landscape for the women's division in World Wrestling Entertainment by becoming the first women to main event a big wrestling show like Monday Night RAW.

During a recent interview with Monopoly Events at Comic-Con Northern Ireland 2024, Lita said that she wanted to see a major change in the current WWE titles for both men and women.

The legend pitched that the company should have inter-gender matches for the same championships, without differentiating the titles for men or women, giving everyone equal opportunities.

"What I would love to see is more interplay between the genders and have those lines be blurred further. Where titles don't have to be men's or women's titles, just titles, and whoever manages to get somebody's shoulders down for three seconds is the champion or whoever taps somebody out is the champion for that night," she said. If WWE goes in this direction then Rhea Ripley and Nia Jax could play an important role in it, as both stars have interacted and gotten into fights with male stars in recent times.

Lita talked about her desire to face Rhea Ripley in WWE

During the same interview at Comic-Con, Lita talked about her brief interaction with Rhea Ripley at the Women's Royal Rumble, before mentioning that she wanted to face The Eradicator in WWE.

"I think somebody that I had a very brief interaction with in the Royal Rumble, Rhea Ripley, has just grown so much and added so many layers to her character. I think she would be great to face," she said.
