WWE legend picks Sami Zayn as his final opponent
Sami Zayn is evidently a made man in WWE, irrespective of how one views him individually. It seems fairly obvious that many within the company consider him a valuable asset. And now a legendary name has picked Zayn as his final opponent, should he get back in the ring for one last match.
WWE Hall of Famer Booker T was recently asked the very same question, and he articulated his train of thought. He admitted that he still desires to wrestle Roman Reigns simply because the OTC is too good at this game. The veteran hypothetically considers Shawn Michaels an ideal opponent if he could go back in time.
Speaking on the latest episode of the Hall of Fame podcast, Booker ultimately decided on Sami Zayn, with whom he feels he could have a great match. The veteran noted how Zayn can keep up with his style and moreover, he can make The Underdog From The Underground look good:
"But a guy that's on the roster today that I think I can go out and have a really good match, it will probably be with somebody like Sami Zayn. Just because he will be able to keep up with me. He will execute properly, as well as he does a lot of good stuff that I feel I could enhance, make it look even better," Booker said. [From 44:52 to 45:22]
The Hall of Famer's last in-ring appearance was when he made a one-off appearance at the Men's Royal Rumble 2023. He got eliminated by Gunther after a brief throw-down.
Sami Zayn's true allegiance questioned ahead of WWE Survivor Series: WarGames
Sami Zayn appears to be on the same page as Roman Reigns and The Usos heading into Survivor Series on November 30. He was seen this past Monday making attempts to recruit a fifth member for his team for WarGames.
WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi feels the OG Bloodline's former Honorary Uce is not trustworthy and that perhaps Solo Sikoa may have got to him.
"I don't trust him. And so, at the end of the day, blood is always going to be thicker than water," Rikishi said. "Looking at what Solo is building, Solo is getting ready for the future; possibly to lead into the new wave of the future. So for now, I want to say this to Sami: enjoy your ride," he added.
Who ends up joining either team bears watching, but it suffices to say that Zayn and the OTC working together after their fallout last year was the last thing fans expected.
