WWE legend, not Randy Orton, inducting John Cena into the Hall of Fame would be huge, says ex-employee

John Cena is almost guaranteed a spot in the WWE Hall of Fame. A former WWE employee recently suggested a massive legend could induct the 16-time world champion into the exclusive club, and it's not Randy Orton.

The former employee in question is none other than Tommy Carlucci. On the Behind The Turnbuckle: The Last Word podcast, he and his co-host, WWE veteran Jonathan Coachman, discussed who could induct Cena into the Hall of Fame. They suggested several names, including Vince McMahon, The Undertaker, and Kurt Angle.

Meanwhile, Carlucci brought up The Rock's name. The Final Boss and The Leader of the Cenation had a heated rivalry that saw them main event two consecutive WrestleManias. The former WWE employee pointed out that The Brahma Bull inducting Cena into the Hall of Fame would be huge.

"Could be Rock. That would be huge. The Rock could be huge. That would be such a huge night at that Hall of Fame if Rock does the job, does intro Cena into the Hall of Fame, man," he said. [From 21:31 - 21:48]

Where did John Cena rank The Rock among the greatest WWE Superstars in history?

In a recent interview with Club Shay Shay, John Cena claimed Roman Reigns is the greatest superstar in the history of the Stamford-based company. The 16-time world champion also addressed The Rock's position on that list.

The Leader of the Cenation stated that The Final Boss comes second to his cousin, the Original Tribal Chief:

"[The] Rock would be second [greatest of all time] 'cause [The] Rock did the same thing in the '90s but this is the one time I can say this, 'cause [The] Rock is always number one. Roman's numbers have been better than Dwayne's," Cena said.

The Rock and Cena last crossed paths at WrestleMania 40 when they had a confrontation during Cody Rhodes' match against Roman Reigns on night two. Their face-off ended with The Final Boss taking out the Leader of the Cenation with a Rock Bottom. Analyst Sam Roberts previously suggested on his Notsam Wrestling podcast that the two massive legends could go head-to-head one final time before Cena retires in 2025. It would be interesting to see if that happens.
