WWE legend reflects on return to Saturday Night's Main Event; credits Triple H, Nick Khan & one more name
A WWE Hall of Famer recently made a huge return to the broadcast announce table for Saturday Night's Main Event. He shared his thoughts on the retro-themed night and expressed gratitude to Triple H, Nick Khan, and another key individual.
Jesse "The Body" Ventura served as a dual broadcaster for NBC's special show. The 73-year-old initially co-hosted Saturday Night's Main Event with Joe Tessitore. Ventura later joined Michael Cole and Pat McAfee on commentary for the Undisputed WWE Championship match between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens.
In a recent Substack post, Jesse Ventura shared his positive experience returning to Saturday Night's Main Event. He credited his son, Tyrel Ventura, for making this comeback possible.
The Body also praised the current leadership, led by Triple H and Nick Khan, for fostering a positive and collaborative backstage atmosphere. Ventura highlighted the strong sense of teamwork and the emphasis on collective success among the talent.
Below is an excerpt from Ventura's post:
"First of all it was truly an honor to come back home to the WWE. First off, I have to thank my son, Tyrel Ventura, for putting the wheels in motion last summer. It’s been such an incredible feeling to return to the place where my career essentially began or, more accurately, really took off from."
The 73-year-old legend added:
"I think this speaks volumes about the leadership of Paul 'HHH' Levesque. I think Paul, Nick Khan, and the team at WWE are creating a truly incredible and unique environment unlike any I have seen before in the world of wrestling."

Former WWE writer comments on Jesse Ventura's appearance at Saturday Night's Main Event
Wrestling veteran Vince Russo opened up about The Body's return to TV this past weekend alongside McAfee and Cole. He discussed this on his The Brand podcast.
According to the former WWE writer, Jesse Ventura during SNME was initially marred by nervousness and a scripted delivery, although he eventually regained his natural on-screen persona.
"It was a little weird man. We bring Jesse out at the top and that is awesome, absolutely awesome. But my God, the first time Jesse spoke, he was scripted. And you could tell Jesse was scripted. And Jesse was also a little nervous early on in that first segment. But once he got into the show a little bit, he was back to being Jesse. But yeah, man, you could tell he was a little nervous, even scripted at the beginning," Russo said.
It remains uncertain whether Jesse "The Body" Ventura will appear on the next episode of the iconic NBC show.
