WWE legend reveals major reason why Roman Reigns shouldn't return at SummerSlam 2024

The rumors of WWE Superstar Roman Reigns making a massive return at SummerSlam 2024 have taken the wrestling world by storm. However, WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff has shared a significant argument against The Big Dog making a comeback at The Biggest Party of The Summer.

At WrestleMania XL, Cody Rhodes finally dethroned Roman Reigns, who held the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship for 1316 days. The former Shield member has been away from television since The Show of Shows, and Solo Sikoa has taken over The Bloodline in his absence.

The Street Champion kicked out Jimmy Uso and Paul Heyman, replacing them with Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu in the heel faction. Ahead of Rhodes defending his Undisputed WWE Title against Solo Sikoa, a report suggested that The Big Dog is expected back in time for the PLE in Cleveland.

On his 83 Weeks podcast, Eric Bischoff asserted that Roman Reigns shouldn't appear at SummerSlam, claiming it's too soon for the latter to return.

"Okay, Roman's [Reigns] gone, but there's been so many moves on the chessboard since that time that it's hard to even recognize, 'Oh yeah, he's been gone!' So much [is] going on; nobody's missing him. Just deep down in your instincts, your subconscious says, 'God, I really like to see Roman show up. God, I wonder if Roman's going to surprise us tonight!' They [WWE] are not there yet," he said.

The WWE Hall of Famer added:

"So I hope not, because I think that would be rushing it, in my opinion. But I don't know their business; I'm not looking at their numbers; I'm not analyzing anything. I'm just going by gut feeling and a little bit of experience." [1:27:06-1:28:04]

Former WWE Champion names Roman Reigns as a dream opponent

Former WWE World Champion Kurt Angle was a part of the wrestling business for two decades. However, The Olympic Gold Medalist never squared off against The Bloodline member inside the squared circle.

In a recent episode of The Kurt Angle Show, the 55-year-old named Roman Reigns as his dream opponent. Angle heavily praised The Big Dog for his rise in the company and went on to call the latter one of the greatest of all time.

"Roman Reigns. I thought that Roman had proved to the world that he's one of the greatest of all time. He really has. And I'm not gonna lie to you; when he started out, you know, they were pushing him a little too fast, a little too hard, and he just wasn't ready. But he took to it, and he just kept working and grinding, and eventually, he became a master at it. And I just have all the respect in the world for him," he said.

It will be interesting to see if Roman Reigns makes a return at The Biggest Party of The Summer to stop Solo Sikoa's tyranny.
