WWE legend Rikishi pitches a new signature gimmick match for The Bloodline, involves three rings together
Solo Sikoa and his Bloodline shocked the world when they pinned Roman Reigns to pick up the biggest victory of their current run at WWE Crown Jewel 2024. This came after Solo and Jacob Fatu lost a tag match against Roman and Cody Rhodes at Bad Blood.
Though The Tribal Chief and his faction have been portrayed to be quite dominant on SmackDown over the past few months, the reunion of Roman Reigns and The Usos was not expected to be welcomed with a massive loss.
Addressing the massive surprise on a recent episode of the Off The Top Podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi stated that he expected the match to end in a disqualification rather than any team picking up a victory.
"I had no idea - I didn’t even think either team was gonna win. I would have probably thought it would have been a DQ," stated Rikishi (23:20 onwards)
Further addressing the exciting storyline, the veteran added that The Bloodline should get a special gimmick match of their own, representing a unique premium live event, which would make them a much bigger attraction. Sending out possible ideas, the Hall of Famer stated "a special dome" or "three rings together," which would undoubtedly give people something that "has never ever been seen before."
"So, let's go ahead and up it. Why don't we call a different type of, make up a pay-per-view name for The Bloodline to be able to have their own type of signature match, like Hell in the Cell. Let's put three rings together. Let's build a certain type of dome for three rings and then you think about you got all that talent that you got - The Usos, Jacob Fatu, the Tongans, and Roman. Come on now, there's so much that those boys can do with a gimmick type of match like that," added the Hall of Famer. (23:57 onwards)
Will WWE add a special twist to the WarGames match for The Bloodline?
With the recent developments in the intriguing Bloodline story, it is clear that a massive WarGames match is being set up between the factions. The OG Bloodline vs. the new Bloodline seems to be the current plan for Survivor Series: WarGames.
However, with both teams consisting of four members currently, it is uncertain if WWE would make a change to their marquee WarGames match. Switching from the traditional five members per team to four would make headlines. Fans will have to wait and see what WWE has in store for the faction.
