WWE legend teases return to the ring 15 years after quitting following last singles match
A WWE legend has teased a return to the wrestling ring 15 years after his last-ever one-on-one match. The star seems to be getting ready to wrestle again after a decade since his last in-ring appearance.
In recent months, wrestling fans have been aware that JBL has been appearing in different promotions. He has already made appearances at TNA Wrestling, OVW, MLW, AAA, and GCW, among others. He even helped Nic Nemeth, aka Dolph Ziggler, win his match when he went to TNA.
Despite his appearances over the last two months, the star has not wrestled a single match yet. After his recent appearance at MLW Fightland, though, the WWE legend has left a message teasing a return to the ring. He said that he was just getting started, and if nothing else, the next couple of weeks could be fun for him.
"Just getting started. Next couple of weeks could be fun, for me," the Hall of Famer wrote.
This appears to finally hint at a return to the ring. Whether this will be the star's last-ever wrestling match remains to be seen, as he has been away from active wrestling for more than 15 years now.
WWE legend JBL has not wrestled for a long time
In the last 10 years, JBL has not wrestled in a single match. In 2014, though, the star made a one-off surprise appearance at the Royal Rumble. It was a quick, fun appearance, and it marked his last official appearance inside a wrestling ring.
Before that, in his last-ever singles match, the star defended his WWE Intercontinental Championship against Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania 25. He lost the match and the title. Afterward, he announced that he had quit.
This was his last-ever singles match, and he has not wrestled since, with the exception of the Royal Rumble appearance five years later, as mentioned above.
It remains to be seen when or if he returns to the ring after this.
