WWE legend thinks brutal Drew McIntyre moment at Bad Blood was a work (Exclusive)

WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre competed in a grueling Hell in a Cell Match against CM Punk at Bad Blood 2024. The Scottish Warrior endured a big concussion that severely busted him open which led to him losing the contest. The staff during the match was constantly trying to help McIntyre which resulted in him getting angry. Interestingly, WWE legend Teddy Long thinks that it was not a natural reaction but a part of work.

The WWE Hall of Famer and legendary wrestling journalist Bill Apter were hosted by Mac Davis on Sportskeeda Wrestling's The Wrestling Time Machine podcast this week. During the conversation, Davis mentioned that the staff tried to repeatedly give Drew a towel to clean the blood flowing from his head, making him furious.

He noted that somebody in the back told The Scottish Warrior that he had a very deep cut and needed to take care of it. However, Teddy Long disagreed with what Davis said and asked him how did he know that it was not part of the script:

"How do you know that? That somebody in the back was telling him this. How do you know that wasn't work?" [23:05 - 23:13]

Davis said that Drew McIntyre receiving 16 staples to fix the gash was proof that it was not scripted. Countering this, Long said that the staples only showed part of the full picture:

"We didn't say that was a work. But part of the story is a work." [23:24 - 23:28]

Following his loss at the Bad Blood 2024 Premium Live Event, The Scottish Warrior has not made an appearance on RAW so far. However, CM Punk celebrated his massive win and said that he would finally see his wife, AJ Lee, after five weeks and take some time to recover.

It would be interesting to see when Drew comes back and what lies ahead for him after Bad Blood 2024.
