WWE legend urges AEW to hire Shane McMahon

A WWE legend believes it would be a "great idea" for All Elite Wrestling to hire Shane McMahon. The 54-year-old is the son of Vince McMahon, who resigned from the company earlier this year due to allegations from former WWE employee Janel Grant.

There have been rumors as of late of Shane McMahon possibly heading to All Elite Wrestling and they picked up steam today. An image of McMahon and Khan during a meeting at an airport in Arlington was leaked on the internet and Mercedes Moné has claimed she was the one who took the photo. Speaking on Busted Open Radio, wrestling legend Lex Luger urged Tony Khan to hire McMahon and claimed it would be a great idea to bring him to AEW.

"100%. I think he [Khan] should do it. I feel that with the way the wrestling business, with all its different platforms, and they way it's exploding like we've never seen before, absolutely, 100%. I think it [would] be a great idea to bring Shane in," Luger said. [H/T: WrestlingInc]

WWE legend claims Shane McMahon to AEW is so crazy "it might work"

WWE Hall of Famer and current AEW commentator Jim Ross believes Shane McMahon could be a fit in All Elite Wrestling.

During a recent edition of his Grillin JR podcast, the veteran commented on the rumors of McMahon heading to WWE's rival promotion. JR stated that it is so crazy that it could work and Shane McMahon and Tony Khan might be able to work together creatively.

"Yeah, it would. It’s so crazy that it might work, depending on how it was positioned and how it was introduced. Shane called me the other day, he’s called me two or three times, which I really appreciate. He’s always been sensitive in that respect. That’s only a question that Shane could answer. Shane and Tony Khan being together, how would that work creatively, heck, who knows? Might be great. But in any event, that all depends on Shane and what he wants to do." [H/T:Fightful]
