Goldberg after two quick spears and an earth-shattering Jackhammer defeated Lesnar, in a record time of one minute and twenty-five seconds.
Nobody in all of pro-wrestling expected Goldberg to win this match by squashing Brock Lesnar — considering the way WWE had built Lesnar's character ever since he conquered The Undertaker's streak at WrestleMania 30.
Also, Goldberg had reportedly signed on with the WWE only for yesterday's match at Survivor Series.

But, after observing the overwhelmingly positive crowd reactions for him — the WWE, Brock Lesnar, and Goldberg came to a conclusion that an extended run would bring in more viewers and be a financially beneficial decision for all involved.
Hence, Goldberg signed a new contract, and on today's edition of Monday Night RAW, he confirmed his participation in the 2017 Royal Rumble match. Also, from the looks of it, it seems that Goldberg will be an exclusive member of Monday Night RAW.
His Royal Rumble appearance may lead to a rematch between him and Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 33.
