WWE made a needless mistake with Jey Uso and Bron Breakker on RAW, notes veteran (Exclusive)
Bron Breakker and Jey Uso built up their feud heading into a highly-anticipated Intercontinental Championship match on this week's episode of RAW. While they had some explosive moments, Vince Russo noted WWE got the placement wrong.
Uso and Breakker engaged in a war of words early on during the show, with both men taking personal shots at each other. Jey addressed Breakker's short NFL career before they came to blows, leading to Uso delivering a spear to the reigning Intercontinental Champion.
The show ended with Bron getting some retribution as he speared Jey Uso during a post-main event brawl also involving The Judgment Day.
Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW, Vince Russo noted that many fans would have missed when Bron Breakker got his heat back by laying out Uso.
Russo felt viewers might have tuned out and only seen Jey Uso getting the better of Bron during the early half of Monday Night RAW. The former WWE writer explained:
"A storyline isn't you're nothing without your family, like, that's not a freaking storyline, but here's another thing too. Breakker gets the heat, and Jey Uso winds up spearing him. Again, we took the heat away, but then Breakker got the heat back at the end of the show. I didn't, too (like it), but unfortunately, Chris, a lot of people changed the channel or they went to bed. It was at the very end of the show, so very few people, the smallest audience, got to see Bron Breakker get his heat back." [From 42:38 onwards]
