WWE makes a major announcement regarding Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair's future as tag team champions
WWE has officially announced that Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill will defend their Women's Tag Team Championship at the Clash at the Castle 2024 Premium Live Event in Glasgow, Scotland. This will be their third title defense since they won it at Backlash France.
Their first title defense was on the Countdown to King and Queen of the Ring show, where they successfully defended the gold against Indi Hartwell and Candice LeRae. They put the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship on the line once again on RAW this past Monday against Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark, but the match ended via DQ after Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn interfered.
WWE announced that at the upcoming Clash at the Castle Premium Live Event, Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill will defend the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship in a Triple Threat Tag Team Match against The Unholy Union and Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark.
Whether Jade and Bianca retain their gold at the upcoming spectacle remains to be seen.
Bianca Belair commented on Becky Lynch's hiatus from WWE
Former Women's World Champion Becky Lynch is currently a free agent as her WWE contract expired a few days ago. The Man's most recent appearance came on RAW a few days ago, where she lost to Liv Morgan in a Steel Cage match.
During a recent interview with Denise Salcedo, Bianca Belair shared her thoughts on Becky Lynch's absence from the Stamford-based promotion.
"I’m just super supportive of Becky, of whatever space she’s in right now, what she wants to do. Everyone knows how pivotal Becky was for my career. Not just inside the ring, outside the ring. She’s someone that I’ve always been able to go to and lean on, just for advice and as a friend. I would call Becky my friend," Bianca Belair said.
The EST and The Man have competed with and against each other in WWE multiple times, and rightfully so, they have a great deal of respect for each other.
