WWE makes major announcement for tonight's RAW
The upcoming live WWE RAW episode is set to be another action-packed show with fallout from Survivor Series and WarGames, plus the build to Saturday Night's Main Event. An appearance by CM Punk and other significant happenings were also confirmed for tonight, but now a major announcement has been made.
The Voice Of The Voiceless was previously announced for the opening segment of tonight's live RAW episode from Angel of the Winds Arena in Everett, Washington. This will be Punk's first promo since helping the OG Bloodline win WarGames on Saturday, but it remains to be seen what he has planned.
RAW will air commercial-free for the first half-hour tonight, which should cover most of Punk's in-ring segment if not the entirety of it. Adam Pearce took to X (fka Twitter) today to make the announcement, further confirmed by WWE by sharing the post. The RAW General Manager also hyped up The New Day's 10th anniversary celebration.
"🚨🚨🚨BREAKING 🚨🚨 🚨#WWERaw will be COMMERCIAL FREE tonight for the first half-hour, and don’t forget... NEW…DAY ROCKS 👏...... 👏👏," wrote Adam Pearce.
Officials have announced the following updated lineup for tonight:
- The first thirty minutes of RAW will air commercial-free;
- CM Punk will open the show;
- The New Day's 10th-anniversary celebration;
- Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez vs. Kairi Sane and IYO SKY;
- Pete Dunne vs. R-Truth;
- Shayna Baszler vs. Katana Chance vs. Dakota Kai to open the tournament that will crown the inaugural Women's Intercontinental Champion.
The RAW and arena websites also have several superstars advertised for tonight. The following names are listed to appear: Gunther, Jey Uso, Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, Drew McIntyre, Damian Priest, and Sami Zayn.
Two SmackDown dark main events are also advertised: Cody Rhodes vs. Solo Sikoa, and Nia Jax vs. Naomi.
