WWE makes major botch ahead of RAW
WWE made a massive botch ahead of this week's edition of RAW in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The promotion is currently building toward Bash in Berlin on August 31.
LA Knight battled Logan Paul for the United States Championship at SummerSlam. Machine Gun Kelly accompanied Paul to the ring and gave him brass knuckles during the match. The Maverick struck Knight with them, but he didn't stay down. The Megastar connected with the BFT (Blunt Force Trauma) on Paul for the pinfall victory to capture the United States Championship.
As pointed out by WrestleTalk on social media, WWE has updated Knight's render on the website to feature him with the United States Championship. However, the image still has Logan Paul's arm holding the title, as seen in the post below.
LA Knight will be defending his United States Championship against Legado Del Fantasma's Santos Escobar during this Friday's episode of SmackDown.
Major WWE star pokes fun at LA Knight's hair
Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes recently joked that LA Knight could be wearing an elaborate hairpiece.
Speaking on the latest episode of his What Do You Wanna Talk About? podcast, The American Nightmare told SmackDown star Bianca Belair that he had convinced his friends that the United States Champion's hair was not real. He added that the hairpiece is kept in a case, just like acting legend Sean Connery.
"All this aside, I have them [my friends] completely convinced that LA Knight wears an elaborate hairpiece. [Bianca Belair laughs] Even though it's clearly, it should be clearly his hair. He's got great hair. Super handsome guy. But I've convinced them that's what you need—that Jackie and the hair makeup girls have it in a case just like Sean Connery's. It's very elaborate," he said. Knight debuted on the main roster as Max Dupri, the leader of the Maximum Male Models faction. However, the gimmick was eventually abandoned, and he has since become one of the biggest babyfaces on WWE SmackDown. It will be interesting to see how long the veteran can hold onto the United States Championship moving forward.
