WWE may have already begun building Charlotte Flair's return, veteran speculates
Charlotte Flair's unfortunate injury in late 2023 rendered it impossible for her to wrestle at WrestleMania in April 2024, one year after her show-stealing performance with Rhea Ripley. Considering the time she has taken for rehab, The Queen may return soon to build up a program for next year's spectacle.
When she left to recuperate, Charlotte was a babyface who even teased a tag team run with Shotzi. But the WWE Universe is well aware that the heel side of the spectrum is Flair's comfort zone. Wrestling veteran Konnan speculated whether The Queen would be revealed at some point as Jade Cargill's attacker.
Speaking on Keepin' It 100, Konnan touched upon The Storm being pulled from the WarGames match. As of this writing, it is believed that her injury is legitimate, and WWE Creative used the angle to write off the former AEW TBS Champion. Nevertheless, the veteran praised the company for making good use of the situation, which can lead to something exciting.
This direction needs a destination point, and Konnan wondered whether WWE has sown the seeds for Charlotte Flair's return. While it is out of left field, The Queen's reveal could lead to a match with Jade Cargill at WrestleMania 41:
"Well, the one thing I do want to say is that they've made the women more interesting. Who laid out Cargill? Is it one of [her WarGames teammates]? Was it Charlotte? They've done great job of maintaing your interest. So kudos to them on that," Konnan said. [From 2:10 to 2:35]
Upon Jade Cargill's return in the fall of 2023, Charlotte Flair was one of the first women she met. WWE teased an inevitable program between the two superstars. Is Las Vegas going to host this first-time-ever contest?
When WWE Hall of Famer warned Jade Cargill not to mess with Charlotte Flair
Charlotte Flair's father, WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair, commented on her interaction with Jade Cargill on SmackDown in 2023.
In an interview with ComicBook, The Nature Boy warned Cargill that she should not mess with his daughter. He noted that it is not only from the standpoint of a father but also as a wrestling fan, implying that The Storm does not stand a chance against the 14-time World Champion:
"I don't know whether Jade is gonna spend some time at NXT or not," The Nature Boy said. "I'm not sure. As a father's standpoint, as a wrestling fan, Jade don't want nothing to do with The Queen."
The Queen will reportedly be part of a significant program heading into WrestleMania 41, which makes sense owing to her incredible star power. Suffice it to say that a potential match between them screams money.
