WWE may bury 32-year-old injured top superstar upon return for one major reason, says Jonathan Coachman
A top WWE Superstar recently suffered multiple injuries and will be out of action indefinitely. Wrestling veteran Jonathan Coachman recently claimed the company might bury the mentioned competitor upon her return.
Jade Cargill has received a significant push since joining SmackDown earlier this year. The 32-year-old was paired with Bianca Belair heading into WrestleMania. The two have since held the Women's Tag Team Championship twice. However, The Storm was recently injured in a backstage attack on SmackDown. The company announced that she had suffered deep lumbar paraspinal muscle contusions, a sprained MCL in her right knee, a bruised kidney, a tibial plateau bone bruise on her right knee, and facial lacerations.
With no timetable announced for Cargill's return, rumors suggest she may be out for several months. Speaking on the Behind The Turnbuckle: The Last Word podcast, Coachman pointed out that creative, led by Triple H, could bury the former AEW star upon her comeback if she could not get over with fans on her own:
"This could be, not just from an injury perspective, but I'm gonna say this right now, if Jade Cargill has to go on her own, she may get buried. We've seen it a million times. If you can't get over on your own, if Becky comes back, which she just mentioned she might, Charlotte comes back, then you got Bianca, you got Nia Jax, you got Bayley, you got Liv on the RAW side, where's there gonna be anything for Jade Cargill?" The Coach said. [5:08 - 5:33]
Jonathan Coachman thinks Jade Cargill's WWE partner would happily relinquish the title
With Jade Cargill out of action indefinitely, the future of the Women's Tag Team Championship remains uncertain. On the same episode of the Behind The Turnbuckle: The Last Word podcast, Jonathan Coachman predicted WWE could hold a tournament to crown new champions.
The 51-year-old WWE veteran claimed Bianca Belair would happily give up the title despite potentially acting otherwise:
"Bianca may be a great actress and she may act like she doesn't wanna give them up. She's happily gonna give up those Tag Team Titles. She doesn't care about them at all. You don't make money in WWE as a tag team champion of the world. You just don't. You gotta be on your own. You gotta be out there doing it," he said.
It would be interesting to see in what direction Belair would go following the injury of her tag team partner.
