WWE might not allow Bronson Reed to beat Seth Rollins at Crown Jewel for a big reason, says ex-writer

Seth Rollins and Bronson Reed will finally have their singles match at WWE Crown Jewel. Recently, former WWE writer Freddie Prinze Jr. explained why Seth is likely to win.

Bronson Reed has been positioned as a major monster heel in the making on TV as he frequently targeted Seth Rollins with brutal attacks. They will meet inside the ring to settle their differences and many believe a win over Seth Rollins would be the true beginning of Bronson Reed's push.

While a victory over a former World Champion is important, Freddie Prinze Jr. stated that WWE might need to give Seth Rollins a win due to his recent record. After having a decent run as the World Heavyweight Champion, Rollins has lost some high-profile matches and Prinze noted that The Visionary might need his rivals to do some favors now.

In a recent edition of Wrestling with Freddie, the former WWE writer explained:

"If he wins at Crown Jewel, it's a push. Can he beat Seth Rollins? I don't know if he can win, that's tough because Seth has done some jobs for guys lately and done some work and it's probably time for some guys to do the work for him. But man, it would be wild if Bronson won that because he is a legit big guy, like if he got his hands on 90% of the roster, it would be kind of a wrap in real life." [From 05:38 to 06:14]

Freddie Prinze Jr. talks about the most-anticipated Seth Rollins feud in WWE

He might want revenge against Bronson Reed, but Seth Rollins seems to have bigger issues with a name that isn't even on TV these days, CM Punk. The Second City Saint is on a hiatus after his Hell in a Cell match and once he is back, Triple H could book him in a program with Seth Rollins.

During the same episode of Wrestling with Freddie, Freddie Prinze Jr. said that Rollins vs. Punk was what every fan wanted to see and recalled how WWE set up the story at last year's Survivor Series when the former AEW star returned to the company.

Prinze Jr. was confused about whether Rollins needed a monumental win before he entered a feud with CM Punk or if could he afford to take another defeat.

"You know that they have to get to Seth Rollins and CM Punk, right? That's the story everybody wants to see, when CM Punk re-debuted in WWE after ten years, they had that whole middle finger you, no middle finger you! So they have got beef, they hate each other. So they have to get to that, so I don't know if you get to that off a Seth Rollins victory or a Seth Rollins loss?" [From 06:45 to 07:14]

Punk and Rollins could ideally battle each other in 2025 but for now, all eyes will be on WWE and if they back Bronson Reed to get a decisive win over Seth at Crown Jewel.
