WWE missed a big opportunity with Liv Morgan's mother, says veteran, who was a "bonafide character" (Exclusive)
Liv Morgan is finally coming into her own as a top WWE star and is involved in an absorbing saga with Rhea Ripley and Dominik. Vince Russo, however, feels that the company could have used Morgan's mother as an on-screen character, not just now, but a long time ago.
Not much is known about Liv's mom, Georgette Morgan, who has been seen on an old episode of Total Divas. The reigning Women's World Champion was still new to the main roster back then, and Vince Russo recalled watching clips of her mother.
This week's episode of Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws revolved around Liv Morgan and EC3's apparent admiration for the WWE Superstar. Vince Russo took a brief detour to talk about Morgan's mother, who he believed would have been an entertaining part of the star's story in WWE. Russo stated that the promotion "missed the boat" in potentially using Georgette Morgan to add another dimension to Liv's character.
The former WWE writer explained:
"Bro, her [Liv Morgan] freakin' mother was such a character! I remember; there was a stretch when I was doing the RAW and SmackDown review with Bin Hamin and Stevie Richards; all we talked about was Liv Morgan's mother. That is all! She was a bonafide character, already made! Oh my god, I think they could have done so [much]. But what a character she was! I think they missed a boat with that, but you can always go back to that." The Women's World Champion has been ruling the division on RAW ever since capturing the belt in May 2024.
Rhea Ripley being sidelined with an injury provided Liv the opportunity to get closer to Dominik Mysterio and successfully lure him away from Mami. Ripley's return last week, however, has added impetus to the narrative as The Judgement Day member officially challenged Morgan to a SummerSlam match.
