WWE could do more with Nick Aldis' talents, according to former wrestler
Wrestling veteran Konnan recently spoke about the way WWE is utilizing the current SmackDown GM, Nick Aldis.
Aldis showed up on the October 13 episode of SmackDown as an authority figure. Triple H introduced the former NWA Champion as the new General Manager of SmackDown. Hunter also announced that Adam Pearce had been promoted to General Manager of RAW.
On a recent edition of Keepin' it 100, Konnan mentioned that WWE could use Aldis in multiple roles. He felt that the 36-year-old star could be part of some amazing storylines with other members of the roster. The former WCW Champion felt that they could utilize him as a wrestler for a while before moving him to other roles.
"Every wrestler wants to wrestle if they still can and I still think you can do some good storylines with him. He's good on the mic and in the ring. I'd say get as much out of him as a wrestler and then put him back to GM if you want, or producing. But he's a valuable player, he can do everything. That's a good thing about him." After becoming the new General Manager of the blue brand, Aldis quickly made an impression on the fans. As his first act as GM, he announced that Kevin Owens would be part of the brand in exchange for Jey Uso moving to Monday Night RAW.
Aldis even took to X/Twitter to announce his arrival on the blue brand.
Later that evening, he made a match official between Charlotte Flair and WWE Women's Champion IYO SKY. He even managed to introduce himself to WWE's newest recruit, Jade Cargill.
Now, with Aldis fully in charge, it will be interesting to see how he raises the standard of Friday Night SmackDown.
