WWE officially announce massive return after 167 days; Liv Morgan referenced

WWE have officially announced a massive return after many months on NXT tonight. Liv Morgan was also referenced in the vignette.

Eddy Thorpe is one of the most beloved stars in NXT. Last year, he was involved in a rather personal feud against Dijak which culminated in an NXT Underground match on the 13th December episode of NXT. Although Thorpe won the match, he hasn't been seen on television since then. However, he has competed on NXT Level Up and live events.

Tonight on WWE NXT, a Eddy Thorpe vignette played where he possibly made a passing reference to Liv Morgan by saying that items and memories that are burned to ashes are carried by the wind to oblivion. Liv Morgan's finisher is also called ObLIVion. Thorpe also mentioned that he was healed and is now reborn.

Through the cleansing of the fire, Eddy Thorpe has been reborn."

It will be interesting to see if Eddy Thorpe will still be remembered fondly by the WWE fans when he makes his return to NXT.
