WWE officially confirms another injured WWE star needed surgery and is out indefinitely after Bronson Reed; Michael Cole announced it
Bronson Reed was injured at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames, breaking his foot in a dangerous move where he jumped off the top of the cage. Unfortunately, he was not the only star injured, with another Bloodline member also hurt, and needing surgery, as has been confirmed by WWE.
Tonga Loa suffered a torn bicep during the match, apparently when he was hit with the toolbox by CM Punk. Whether that's true or not, it was announced by Michael Cole that he was ruled out from competing indefinitely during SmackDown this week.
With the star taking so long to return, it was also confirmed that the star needed surgery, much like Bronson Reed. However, Cole said that Tonga Loa had already gone through surgery and was now in the process of recovery. Any injury can take a long time to recover from, and Loa might be out for quite some time before he's back in the WWE ring.
Tonga Loa's absence may cause Solo Sikoa big issues on WWE SmackDown
With the star out, The Bloodline is a man down coming off a loss at Survivor Series. Solo Sikoa still declared himself to be The Tribal Chief and they attacked multiple stars on SmackDown, but now it remains to be seen whether he has bitten off more than he can chew.
With the duo attacking Andrade and LA Knight this week, they may have made new enemies. While they may still have the numbers advantage, that might not last if they keep attacking other stars. They had also attacked Apollo Crews earlier in the night.
Now, it remains to be seen if Sikoa decides to bring in another star to temporarily make up for the loss of Tonga Loa to the group. At this time, it seems that the feud with the OG Bloodline is done, but with Sikoa still calling himself the Tribal Chief, that may not be a state of things that lasts.
Roman Reigns' return to the show will determine what's next for the Bloodline and the OG Bloodline.
