WWE officially gives 30-year-old star new name a week after sudden attack on RAW
A WWE Superstar's name appears to have been officially changed on RAW after he attacked a star. The change seems to reference another WWE name, who is currently sidelined with an injury.
After being drafted to RAW 16 months ago during the WWE Draft, Odyssey Jones didn't get a TV debut for a long time. Despite performing behind the scenes, the star didn't wrestle on RAW for the entirety of the first year. He was drafted to the red brand again a year later, and still, he didn't show up on the program. He is apparently given a name on RAW, which is a throwback to Big E.
The 30-year-old's status on RAW changed last week when he came out to save the New Day when they were under attack. The star made an immediate impact and, on this week's show, got a chance to finally wrestle for the first time on RAW after 16 months of being on the brand. However, soon after his debut, he was given a new name.
Odyssey Jones was not only called by his name, but Pat McAfee officially gave him a new name, Big O, which is a throwback to Big E. Michael Cole also confirmed it.
This comes after he called himself Big O as well in the buildup to RAW.
This refers to the injured Big E's name. Whether that becomes his official name or not remains to be seen. Fans will also have to wait to see if he becomes an official member of the New Day.
