WWE officially makes an announcement about Ricochet's future; finally gives clarification
WWE has addressed Ricochet's future officially following days of speculation about the star. The star suffered a horrifying attack at the hands of Bron Breakker this past Monday on RAW.
Over the last week, there's been an endless cycle of speculation surrounding Ricochet's future in the company. It was said that the former Speed Champion had told the company that he would be leaving the promotion following his contract expiration, which is set for sometime soon.
A new report stated that Ricochet's contract will expire in July. The report also stated that the former champion could make one last appearance for the company to maximize the situation in the best way possible.
However, the promotion has now made an announcement about Ricochet's future officially, making it clear that he has been written off TV for the time being. On their social media, on Instagram and X, they put it out that the star had suffered multiple upper body injuries at the hands of Bron Breakker, and as a result would be missing an undisclosed amount of time.
"BREAKING: After suffering a brutal attack at the hands of @bronbreakkerwwe this past Monday on #WWERaw, @KingRicochet will be out of action for an undisclosed amount of time with upper body injuries."
WWE used Samantha Irvin as well to make Ricochet's condition more believable on RAW
The company didn't hesitate to use Ricochet's real-life partner, Samantha Irvin, to make the situation even more believable. When the star suffered the attack and had to be taken to the ambulance to go to the hospital, Irvin ran from her position at ringside to be with him.
She was left tearful as he was taken away, making the situation even more believable on RAW and adding to the already ongoing situation.
At this time, fans will have to wait to see if Ricochet does make one last appearance before his contract expires and he leaves the company.
