WWE pays tribute to Roman Reigns' father Sika on RAW
It has been a week since the wrestling business lost WWE Hall of Famer Sika Anoa’i on June 25, 2024. The Samoan wrestling legend is being dearly missed, and several pro wrestlers and fans are paying their respects to him from across the globe. Notably, the Stamford-based promotion paid a heartfelt tribute to Roman Reigns’ father on the July 1, 2024 episode of Monday Night RAW.
During the episode, a short clip highlighting his career was shown to fans. The footage carried words from several legends like Hulk Hogan, The Undertaker, and many more, remembering the late star.
The video clip touted him as one of the pillars of the Anoa'i pro wrestling family.
Interestingly, another pillar of the mighty Samoan Bloodline also recently paid tribute to the departed WWE Hall of Famer.
Rikishi extends words of respect for Sika
WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi was one of the Samoan wrestlers who laid the foundation of one of the world’s most dominant pro wrestling families.
The father of Solo Sikoa and The Usos added a post on Instagram to pay his respects to Sika.
“#AnoaiStrong 🙏🏾 rest easy uncle Seek (RipSika) We here Chief Ifopo Jahrus Anoa’i," he wrote.
Roman Reigns hasn’t returned to WWE since his loss to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania XL. While fans have been eagerly waiting for his return, the passing of his father has made the WWE Universe's demand louder. Moreover, fans can be heard chanting “We want Roman” during shows as well.
Recently, Solo Sikoa announced himself as the new Head of the Table of The Bloodline. Moreover, he also attacked Paul Heyman after he refused to acknowledge Sikoa as the new Tribal Chief.
It would be interesting to see if these changes prompt Roman Reigns to return and reclaim his spot.
