WWE personality allegedly facing misconduct allegations

WWE is the sports entertainment juggernaut, a globally recognized, billion-dollar corporation. When it comes to anything pro wrestling, World Wrestling Entertainment is currently at the top of the industry.

Unfortunately, in recent years, the company has received excessive media attention for unenviable reasons. Most of it revolves around its former chairman, Vince McMahon, the man behind the global phenomenon. Now, another WWE personality, Lee Fitting, is facing misconduct allegations.

According to the New York Times' The Athletic, Lee Fitting is allegedly facing misconduct allegations from his time at ESPN. Fitting joined WWE in early 2024 after his former employer, ESPN, let him go the previous year. While there, he oversaw the College GameDay show. Upon arriving at World Wrestling Entertainment, he was hired as Head of Media and Production, replacing Kevin Dunn.

"In 2023, a complaint regarding Fitting was made with ESPN’s human resources department, prompting officials at ESPN to question a group of employees, including some prominent female staffers. A short time later Fitting, then 48, was done at ESPN. "It finally caught up to him," said one of the women questioned. Fitting, via a spokesperson, denied some of the allegations made against him while choosing not to address others. He declined to comment on the broader characterization of him as someone who mistreated women during his tenure at ESPN or why he was let go by the network," The Athletic reported. Lee Fitting is connected to TKO's Mark Shapiro, who previously oversaw ESPN. WWE has not commented on the allegations yet.

Former WWE Champion and AEW's Bobby Lashley discusses an overlooked aspect of Vince McMahon

Bobby Lashley wrestled for World Wrestling Entertainment from 2005 to 2024, albeit not for all those years. In between, he had left to pursue a career in mixed martial arts.

These days, Vince McMahon is often portrayed as an irredeemable baddie. In a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, Bobby Lashley decided to examine a more positive side of McMahon. Lashley reminded us that many athletes, like himself, were able to put food on the table because of the now 79-year-old.

"There’s so much that people don’t understand thatyes, there are a lot of bad things going on with him right now. But because of that business we have, so many people are able to do things they probably never [would have] had an opportunity to do," Bobby Lashley noted.

In the aforementioned interview, the AEW star also reflected on working with Vince McMahon and Donald Trump at WrestleMania 23 in 2007.
