WWE planning surprises for Bad Blood

WWE is bringing back Bad Blood. The last extravaganza of the same name was held in 2004, but now Bad Blood is returning to help the company celebrate the 27th anniversary of the inaugural Hell In a Cell Catch. A major name has just revealed plans for the big event.

Cody Rhodes is expected to defend the Undisputed WWE Championship at Bad Blood in his hometown of Atlanta. In the meantime, The American Nightmare has linked up with hip-hop producer, Metro Boomin for a music video that goes with the "GTA" single from Metro and Future, which also serves as the theme song for the premium live event later this year.

Metro is also set to appear at WWE Bad Blood, according to Variety. While it is unclear what he will be doing that night, a performance and physical angle seems likely as we saw at SummerSlam with Jelly Roll.

Rhodes promised surprises in the works for Bad Blood in The ATL. The SmackDown superstar also teased participation from additional hip-hop personalities at the PLE, which could be the company's biggest since WrestleMania XL.

"Atlanta has always influenced culture. We are still Badstreet USA. Morehouse College brought Metro to Atlanta at a young age and he’s carried the baton for Atlanta ever since. ‘Bad Blood’ could be the biggest premium live event since WrestleMania and we have some surprises in store for the city," Cody Rhodes said.

Rhodes name-dropping "Badstreet" is a reference to what WWE Hall of Famer and Senior Producer, Michael "P.S." Hayes called the city during the early days of his career. The Fabulous Freebird also works as WWE's Senior Vice President of creative writing & bookings and was the producer for Rhodes vs Solo Sikoa at SummerSlam, along with Robert Roode.

Cody Rhodes to defend at WWE Bash in Berlin

World Wrestling Entertainment will host its next premium live event on Saturday, August 31. The inaugural Bash In Berlin PLE will take place at the Uber Arena in Berlin, Germany.

Officials have announced two big title matches for the premium live event. Cody Rhodes will defend the Undisputed Championship against Kevin Owens, while World Heavyweight Champion, Gunther will defend against Randy Orton. If The Viper wins, he will be sent to RAW and The Ring General will be sent to SmackDown.

Cody has not named a potential challenger for Bad Blood, but another match with Sikoa has been rumored. The next scheduled PLEs after Bad Blood are Crown Jewel on November 2 at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and Survivor Series: WarGames on November 30 from Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia.
