WWE potentially changing big title plans does not matter, says veteran (Exclusive)
A wrestling veteran has said that WWE changing big Intercontinental Championship plans did not matter.
Dutch Mantell is a legend in the field of pro wrestling. He has played many roles in the business and knows the industry inside and out. He has also worked for some of the top promotions such as TNA Wrestling and WWE. Mantell is also known for giving his views on current events in the wrestling business.
Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's SmackTalk podcast, Dutch Mantell opened up on Chad Gable's recent heel turn saying that they might have planned it months ago but it does not matter as it fits more perfectly today.
“Great booking. Now, I don't know if they had that planned, what, four months ago or whatever. But you don't have to have it planned. But, I mean, you can go for it now. It's perfect. It fits perfectly. And, uh, you know, Sami people…..and it's more believable with Sami with, uh, Chad, than maybe either two of those guys against a much bigger opponent. But now Jerry Jarrett used to say this all the time, ‘If you make it personal, the people will buy into it.,” said Mantell.

Chad Gable turned heel and attacked Sami Zayn on WWE RAW
Chad Gable has been in pursuit of the Intercontinental Championship for several months and even got his title shot only to lose to Gunther. After clawing his way back into the title picture, he lost the Gauntlet Match that would've made him a number-one contender at WrestleMania 40.
Despite his frustration, Chad Gable helped Sami Zayn train for his match against the Ring General. Eventually, Sami prevailed and ended Gunther's historic reign of 666 days.
A week later, Sami faced Gable in a title match on WWE RAW in Montreal. However, Gable was unable to win again, but this time, Gable viciously assaulted Sami in front of his hometown fans and laid him out in the ring.
It remains to be seen what this means for the Alpha Academy and if Gable will address his actions from last week.
