WWE promotes upcoming Seth Rollins appearance ahead of RAW
WWE promoted Seth Rollins' upcoming appearance ahead of tomorrow night's edition of RAW. This week's episode of the red brand will air live from Evansville, Indiana.
Rollins has been on hiatus from the company for over a month. He was spotted at the Chicago Bears-Indianapolis Colts game last weekend and was hurled over the barricade by former NFL receiver TY Hilton.
Rollins will be appearing alongside NFL legend Rodney Harrison tonight on Sunday Night Football, and the company took to social media to promote his appearance on the show.
"@wwerollins vs. Rodney Harrison? Not a bad idea, @jaccollinsworth 😂 Don’t miss Seth Rollins on @snfonnbc tonight!"
Rollins has not appeared on WWE television since he was brutally attacked by Bronson Reed on the RAW following SummerSlam. The Visionary served as the Special Guest Referee for the singles match between Drew McIntyre and CM Punk at the Premium Live Event last month.
Punk hit Rollins with a GTS during the bout, and the former World Heavyweight Champion attempted to confront the 45-year-old on the August 5 episode of RAW. However, Reed attacked out of nowhere and hit the veteran with several Tsunami Splashes.
Former WWE writer suggests he doesn't understand Seth Rollins' character
Vince Russo recently criticized Seth Rollins and claimed he doesn't understand the RAW star's character.
Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW show earlier this year, Russo noted that the WWE Universe is invested in Rollins and consistently sang his theme song. However, Russo added that he does not know what Rollins' character is outside of his entrance music.
"He comes out, they're singing the song and I'm asking myself this while I'm watching the television. And I'm still asking myself this question, 'What is Seth Rollins' character?' I still don't know what his (...) I know they sing to his song. I don't know what his character is, bro." (49:29 - 49:52)

Rollins has not competed in a match since his loss to Damian Priest at Money in the Bank in July. It will be interesting to see when the 38-year-old returns to the ring in the weeks ahead.
