WWE provides a massive update on Gunther's future as World Heavyweight Champion
WWE made a massive announcement at Crown Jewel regarding Gunther's next World Heavyweight Championship match. The no.1 contender for the title will be determined in a Fatal 4-Way match on RAW.
The Ring General collided with Cody Rhodes in the main event of the Premium Live Event in Saudi Arabia. However, The Ring General fell short and The American Nightmare won the match and was crowned the first-ever Crown Jewel Champion. The two stars shook hands after the match as a show of respect and sportsmanship.
WWE announced during the show that Seth Rollins, Damian Priest, Dominik Mysterio, and Sheamus will face each other in a Fatal 4-Way match on RAW and the winner will earn the right to challenge Gunther for the prestigious World Heavyweight Championship.
The Visionary defeated Bronson Reed at Crown Jewel, and his victory probably earned him a place in the match. Dominik Mysterio beat Damian Priest last week on the red brand to get a potential opportunity at the title.
Gunther has been world champion since SummerSlam, and it doesn't seem like his reign will come to an end anytime soon. It'll be interesting to see which one of those four men will become his next opponent.
