WWE recently promoted Gunther and Cody Rhodes' face-off on SmackDown and made a massive botch. The belt on his graphic wasn't the World Heavyweight Title, but the Intercontinental Championship.
The page promoting the confrontation has now been removed from WWE's official website, and a message pops up if one tries to access it: "You are not authorized to access this page." Many fans bashed WWE for the botch on Twitter. Check out the graphic below:
What's at stake at Crown Jewel, where Gunther will battle Cody Rhodes?
The former WWE Intercontinental Champion will take on The American Nightmare in a highly-anticipated bout in Saudi Arabia. The winner of the match will be crowned the inaugural WWE Crown Jewel Champion.
Cody Rhodes won his Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania XL earlier this year. He defeated Roman Reigns to finally finish the story and become WWE's top champion.
The Ring General feuded with Sami Zayn with the Intercontinental Title on the road to WrestleMania XL. On Night 1 of The Show of Shows, he faced Zayn in an instant classic that lasted a little over 15 minutes and lost the prestigious belt. He held the gold for a whopping 666 days before losing it at 'Mania.
