WWE RAW GM Adam Pearce reflects on working with Bray Wyatt
WWE RAW General Manager Adam Pearce recently reflected on his time working with Bray Wyatt. The popular star tragically passed away last year at 36 years old.
In an interview with Chris Van Vliet on the Insight podcast, the former NWA star commented on portraying Postman Pearce in the Firefly Fun House segments with Bray Wyatt on WWE television. He noted that Wyatt had a lot of creative leeway during the segments and could make it as "out there" as he wanted it to be.
"When I read [the idea of the Postman], I was like, 'This is hilarious. It's going to be funny. And what was awesome about doing the [Fun House] with him is whether or not you were working specifically or strictly off a script or not, you had a lot of creative leeway. He had all the leeway to make it as out there or as Bray Wyatt as he wanted it to be," said Pearce. [H/T: Wrestling Inc]
The WWE RAW GM added that he wanted it to come across that he was in awe of the Firefly Fun House when he first entered. Pearce can be seen saying, "What the..." as he enters the Firefly Fun House in the clip below.
Former WWE writer criticizes the Wyatt Sicks on RAW
Vince Russo criticized the Wyatt Sicks faction despite their victory last Monday night on WWE RAW.
The Wyatt Sicks made their in-ring debut in the main event of last week's edition of the red brand. Dexter Lumis, Joe Gacy, and Erick Rowan defeated Chad Gable and The Creed Brothers in a 6-man tag team match.
Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW show, Russo claimed that the faction did not have a mystique and were wearing Halloween costumes.
"They [The Wyatt Sicks] have no mystique. They are wearing Halloween costumes, there’s no mystique. Chris [Dr. Chris Featherstone, the host] and I set up the mystique months ago that they need to have their own part of the show where you go to them and everything is shot on film. We talked about that months ago. What did we say? 'They’re gonna be wrestlers on the card.' Now they are wrestlers on the card, there is no mystique bro. They wear scary masks to the ring. There is zero mystique. None," he said. [From 1:00:49 onwards]
Bo Dallas is the brother of Bray Wyatt, and he portrays Uncle Howdy in the faction. The veteran recently had a meeting with Adam Pearce in his office on WWE RAW.
