WWE RAW star breaks character to congratulate Judgment Day member
A WWE RAW star has broken character today on social media to congratulate a member of The Judgment Day. The heel faction has become quite popular on the red brand and picked up a massive victory this past Monday night.
The Judgment Day's JD McDonagh and Finn Balor defeated Awesome Truth (The Miz and R-Truth) in the main event of WWE RAW this week to capture the World Tag Team Championships. Women's World Champion Liv Morgan got involved and distracted R-Truth. Finn Balor capitalized and The Judgment Day won the titles. Otis took to his official X/Twitter account today to send a message to JD McDonagh.
He humorously referred to The Irish Ace as "JD McNewdge" and reposted the RAW star's message after winning the titles:
"Ohhh YEAAA Thoroughbred McNewdge over here JD......JD McNewdge......," he wrote
Alpha Academy leader Chad Gable turned heel earlier this year due to his obsession with becoming Intercontinental Champion. Otis got a huge pop from the WWE Universe recently for finally standing up to Gable on RAW.
Former WWE writer claims the addition of JD McDonagh was the end of The Judgment Day
Wrestling veteran Vince Russo believes that The Judgment Day went downhill after the group made JD McDonagh an official member.
Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW show last month, Russo compared The Judgment Day to NWO in WCW. He noted that the faction died once they kept adding members to water it down. Russo suggested the same thing was happening with JD McDonagh on RAW:
"Guys, here is a perfect example and we have talked about this before. So you had the outsiders, you had Hall and Nash, how can you possibly raise the stock of Nash and Hall? How do you raise their stock? Simple, Hulk Hogan. Why did the NWO die? When they kept watering it down, bro. Whoever they put in the group wasn’t raising their stock like Hogan did, it was lowering the stock. That’s Judgment Day. The second they brought in JD McDonagh, it was over. It was over the second they brought him in. I don’t know why they keep this thing going." [From 46:19 onwards]

Damian Priest will be forced to leave the faction if he cannot retain the World Heavyweight Championship against Seth Rollins next month at WWE Money in the Bank. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for The Judgment Day on WWE RAW.
