WWE reacts as Trish Stratus confirms return at Money in the Bank

Close to a year since her last WWE appearance, WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus will make her much-anticipated return this weekend. Stratus is booked to host the Money in the Bank Premium Live Event in the Scotiabank Arena, Canada.

Whether she will get involved in some angle bears watching, but it is worth noting that her former protégé Zoey Stark—who turned on her in September 2023, which in turn marked her final appearance for the company—will compete at the event. Stark qualified for the Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match.

Trish Stratus herself confirmed her return to WWE on Instagram earlier today, and now the company has acknowledged it, teasing that something significant could happen with the Hall of Famer's arrival.

The 48-year-old Canadian is a superstar in every sense of the word, and her comeback has evoked massive excitement among fans. She was drafted to Monday Night RAW in 2023 despite being a part-time wrestler. Her last match was against Becky Lynch at Payback in September.

Trish Stratus hints that WWE in-ring retirement is never on the cards for her

Although it was meant as a joke, Trish Stratus infused her recent comments about retirement with some assurance that she has a lot left in the tank.

During the Q&A panel chat with Going Ringside at the River City Wrestling Con, Stratus and her good friend, WWE Hall of Famer Lita, were asked about retirement from in-ring competition.

Much like Trish herself, Lita also sporadically wrestles for the Stamford-based promotion, most notably last year when she was part of the roster throughout the Road To WrestleMania 39. Lita became the Women's Tag Team Champion alongside Becky Lynch.

"Retirement? What is retirement? I'm not familiar with this word. I don't know anything about this word. We just stay ready. That's a general statement that we [Stratus and Lita] like to live by, just in case," Trish said.

Stratus has reiterated that if the right story comes along, then she is game to step back into the ring. In February 2023, the Hall of Famer even entertained the idea of chasing the Women's World Title once again.
