WWE receives massive request from 39-year-old star after John Cena announces he will retire in 2025
A top WWE star wants to face John Cena before he finally retires from in-ring competition. The name in question is Baron Corbin.
WWE legend John Cena appeared at Money in the Bank and announced that he would be retiring next year, and WrestleMania 41 would be his last appearance at The Show of Shows. The announcement left many fans dumbfounded, and several top stars have responded to it on social media. Cena also had a wholesome backstage interaction with Chief Content Officer Triple H.
Baron Corbin, Cena's former WWE rival, took to X/Twitter and mentioned that he wanted a match with the veteran before he called it quits. Corbin then responded to a fan's tweet and asked the company to let him wrestle Cena at Bad Blood or Elimination Chamber 2025.
"Right! Let me fight him at Bad Blood or Elimination Chamber."
The last time Cena and Corbin faced off in singles competition was way back in 2017. The duo wrestled each other at SummerSlam 2017, with Cena picking up a big victory over the 39-year-old.
Cena is regarded by WWE as the greatest of all time. Now that he has announced his retirement, many fans want to see him have a huge final match at next year's WrestleMania before he eventually walks off into the sunset.
