WWE referee Charles Robinson comments on hilarious prank he pulled on Rey Mysterio
Rey Mysterio and WWE referee, Charles Robinson are both veterans of the company who go way back. Robinson recently re-shared and added his thoughts on a prank he'd once pulled on the masked man.
The video which made rounds on the internet recently, was shared by a fan who claimed that the incident had happened after a show. However, the 60-year-old official clarified that it had happened before.
When Rey Mysterio was walking towards his caravan unmasked, Robinson waited in silence to prank the former, by coming out of nowhere. He screamed, "Rey Mysterio" and immediately hugged the luchador legend. The heartfelt moment was captured from afar on camera.
Taking to Instagram, Robinson acknowledged the hilarious moment shared with Mysterio and also corrected the fan who had posted it, saying the incident had occurred before the show and not after.
"Someone posted this on @youtube about @619iamlucha and myself and I found it pretty funny, although the guy that posted it says it happened after the show but it happened before. See you guys tonight in #omaha for @wwe @wweonfox #smackdown," Charles Robinson wrote.

As Charles Robinson mentioned in his post, tonight's episode of the blue brand emanates from the CHI Health Center in Omaha. The company is presently building towards SummerSlam on August 3.
What to expect on Friday Night SmackDown two weeks away from WWE SummerSlam?
The Bloodline reigned supreme last week as Solo Sikoa led his clan to take down Randy Orton. He made Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes watch as The Viper was put through the announcer's table.
While The American Nightmare acknowledged a main event showdown between himself and Sikoa at The Biggest Party of the Summer, the bout was not made official until yesterday. SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis was absent on last week's show, although he was mentioned repeatedly.
You can check out the official match poster below:
Notably, LA Knight walked out of Nick's office with a United States Championship contract. He issued a challenge to Logan Paul, who will return to the blue brand tonight to address The Megastar. This contest has been one year in the making. The only announced match ahead of tonight's show as of this writing is Carmelo Hayes vs. Speed Champion, Andrade.
Triple H and Co. have already announced Bayley's title defense of her Women's Championship, against the Queen of the Ring, Nia Jax at SummerSlam on August 3. Needless to mention, the build to the championship bout will continue on WWE SmackDown tonight.
