WWE revisits major rivalry on Monday Night RAW; big match set for next week
Chad Gable was involved in a major storyline with Otis on WWE RAW a few months ago when the former Olympian officially left The Alpha Academy. However, this split never culminated in the much-anticipated singles match between the two stars.
It now appears WWE has decided to revisit the rivalry. During the latest episode of Monday Night RAW, the Alpha Academy came face-to-face backstage with Chad Gable's new faction, American Made. Gable berated the group, accusing them of ruining his academy and turning it into a joke. He called Maxxine Dupri, Akira Tozawa, and Otis pathetic.
This prompted Otis to confront Gable and tell him to shut up. Chad said it was time to "kill his darlings" and declared that he would start with Akira Tozawa. It looks like a match between Gable and Tozawa will be made official for next week's episode of WWE RAW.
Gable was part of the Alpha Academy for nearly three years before their split earlier this year. The primary reason for the breakup was his mistreatment of the group’s other members, which eventually led Otis, Maxxine Dupri, and Akira Tozawa to abandon him and move forward on their own. Now, it seems the former tag team champions, Otis and Gable, are on a collision course and could meet in the ring very soon.
