WWE's surprising backstage reaction to the ring collapsing spot on RAW revealed (Exclusive)
WWE's backstage reaction to an epic spot during the Bronson Reed vs. Braun Strowman encounter on the latest episode of RAW has been revealed. The duo's spot that saw the ring collapsing did not go well with WWE officials backstage.
On last night's edition of WWE RAW, Braun Strowman and Bronson Reed competed in a Last Monster Standing Match. In the end, The Monster Among Men picked up a huge win over Reed.
At one point, Bronson executed a Suplex on Strowman from the top rope and the ring gave in. In an epic visual, the ring collapsed as fans in attendance gaped in utter shock. In a new Q&A on Sportskeeda WrestleBinge with Joe Lowry, WrestleVotes opened up about the spot in question:
"They didn't like the way it came off. They loved the performance of both those guys. The match itself was well-praised, I mean the crowd was electric. I just think the actual spot of the ring breaking didn't have the impact that it has had in the past. A lot of people expected it, so... I did have a source who was there last night. The internal reaction instantly was, 'Oof.'" [26:50 - 27:22]
Reed was attacked by a returning Seth Rollins during the final moments of the bout. The Visionary's interference cost Reed the big match and Strowman picked up a massive victory to a loud pop from the audience.
