WWE seemingly confirms The Rock's opponent; it's not a Triple Threat against Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns
Fans have been speculating about a Triple Threat match between The Rock, Roman Reigns, and Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41 ever since The Final Boss returned at WWE Bad Blood. However, a recent video posted on the company's YouTube channel hints at a different direction for the Hollywood star.
Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes joined forces at Bad Blood to take on Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu of The Bloodline. The duo picked up a win with an assist from Jimmy Uso, who made his return after six months on the sidelines. Jimmy and Roman also saved The American Nightmare from a post-match beatdown, fully cementing their babyface turn.
However, Jimmy wasn't the only Samoan to make a return as The Rock also showed up at Bad Blood when Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes were standing tall after dealing with The Bloodline. The Final Boss did not say anything and just counted to three before walking back.
There are speculations that The Brahma Bull's three-count signified a Triple Threat match between the three at WrestleMania 41. However, in the video uploaded by WWE, they only mentioned a staredown between The Final Boss and OTC, seemingly hinting that the much-awaited clash between the cousins could take place next year at The Showcase of the Immortals.
Triple H commented on The Rock's return to WWE
The Rock returned to WWE programming for the first time since his confrontation with Cody Rhodes on RAW after WrestleMania 40. While The Final Boss did not say anything, fans can already sense that he's coming after both Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes.
Triple H also shared his thoughts on The Brahma Bull's return, praising the Hollywood star for still being in the company despite achieving so much.
"I thought it's amazing the return of Jimmy Uso, and then The Rock showing up. You have to be the biggest superstar in the world to be able to hit your music, walk out, blow the roof off the place, and I am out. It's epic. I'm thankful to him with everything he has got going on in his career and his life. He has never looked away from what brought him to the dance and what his roots are. It's in his DNA, it is in his blood, it is who he is. Anytime we are at a place where he can take that 30 seconds from his incredible schedule to come back and feel that electricity that you can only get in WWE, he does it. I am thrilled for it and thankful for him," Triple H said.
The Rock had told Cody Rhodes that he would come for him upon his return to WWE. He also seems to be on a collision path with Roman Reigns and could very well be the actual leader of the new Bloodline.
