WWE seemingly scrap major stipulation in upcoming SmackDown match
The road to WWE Bad Blood will heat up over the next three weeks of SmackDown. The blue brand's USA Network era is set to continue with several big matches and segments, but new information seems to reveal a major change.
Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton are scheduled to team up against Bayley and Naomi on tonight's SmackDown. WWE recently announced that if the babyfaces win, the Superstar who secured the victory for her team would advance to Bad Blood to challenge Jax for the Women's Championship. It was also stated that if the Heels win, the Superstar who lost for her team must leave SmackDown.
The Role Model and The Glow are apparently staying on the blue brand roster, even if they do lose tonight's tag team match. The updated match preview still mentions how The Irresistible Force's Bad Blood challenger will be decided, but they are no longer promoting the potential roster change:
"The No. 1 Contender to WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax will be determined in a highly contentious tag team match. Jax will team with Miss Money in the Bank Tiffany Stratton to take on Bayley and Naomi with an extra twist. Should Bayley and Naomi defeat Jax and Stratton, the Superstar who receives the winning pinfall will be named Jax’s challenger for Bad Blood. Can Bayley and Naomi manage to team together successfully with so much at stake? Find out tonight at 8/7 C on USA!," reads the preview.
WWE has announced several matches for tonight's SmackDown from the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, CA. The current lineup is as follows: Giovanni Vinci vs. Apollo Crews, LA Knight defending the United States Championship against Andrade, a vignette with Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes, Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton vs. Bayley and Naomi.
