WWE sends heartfelt message to CM Punk
WWE recently sent a heartfelt message to CM Punk on social media. Today, the star is celebrating his 46th birthday.
The Second City Saint locked horns with Drew McIntyre at the Bad Blood Premium Live Event on October 5 in Atlanta. The two former World Champions wrestled inside the Hell in a Cell structure. The Scottish Warrior and The Voice of The Voiceless left no stone unturned to brutalize each other.
Finally, it was Punk who became The Second City Devil, as announced by Michael Cole on the commentary, to defeat the former World Heavyweight Champion inside the unforgiving steel structure. Later, during an episode of Monday Night RAW, the Chicago native said that his grueling match against Drew McIntyre had taken a toll on his body and that he would be stepping away from in-ring action for an indefinite period.
Today, on October 26, 2024, CM Punk turned 46 years old. WWE took to X (Twitter) and sent a heartfelt birthday message to The Best in The World, highlighting his numerous accomplishments in the company.
"Two-time WWE Champion; three-time World Heavyweight Champion; two-time Mr. Money in the Bank; one-time Tag Team Champion; one-time Intercontinental Champion; one-time ECW Champion. Happy birthday to 'The Best in the World' CM Punk!" the post read.

WWE star Dominik Mysterio opens up about his matches with CM Punk
The Straight Edge Superstar returned to the Stamford-based promotion in November 2023 at Survivor Series. Punk's first two non-televised one-on-one matches were against Dominik Mysterio.
In an interview with Chris Van Vliet on INSIGHT, The Judgment Day star was asked to share his two cents on being CM Punk's first opponent upon the 46-year-old's WWE return. Dominik Mysterio claimed he did not expect the company to give him that opportunity.
However, the former NXT North American Champion was honored to deliver The Best in The World his first punch after a decade-long absence from the Sports Entertainment giant.
"Yeah, kind of crazy. I didn't expect it to be me, just because we have so much great talent right now, especially the roster we have today, RAW and SmackDown. But the fact that they trusted me to go in there with him on his first match back, like you said, after what, 10 years, I'm glad I was able to give him his first punch," Mysterio said.
