WWE shares major Rhea Ripley tease ahead of RAW

WWE has shared a massive Rhea Ripley tease ahead of tonight's edition of RAW. Tonight's show will air live from Boston as the company continues to build toward Money in the Bank this weekend.

Ahead of the show, the promotion shared a video of Dirty Dom claiming that he will cement himself as "the greatest Mysterio" tonight in his singles match against his father, Rey Mysterio. The former NXT North American Champion then walked by a giant poster of Rhea Ripley on a production and shook his head out of frustration. You can check out the video in the Instagram post below.

Rhea Ripley was forced to relinquish the Women's World Championship due to injury following her successful title defense against Becky Lynch at WrestleMania. The Man captured the vacant title in a Battle Royal, but was dethroned by Liv Morgan at WWE King and Queen of the Ring in Saudi Arabia.

Dominik Mysterio accidentally helped Morgan win the title and she has seemingly been trying to seduce The Judgment Day member ever since. Liv Morgan is set to defend her Women's World Championship against Zelina Vega tonight as well.

Vince Russo criticizes WWE for not having Rhea Ripley appear on RAW during her injury

Former WWE writer Vince Russo criticized the promotion earlier this year for not having Rhea Ripley featured on television while she was recovering from her injury.

Speaking on an episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW in April, Russo noted that he would have injured stars appear on television during the Attitude Era. He wondered why The Eradicator was not on RAW during her injury as she is one of the biggest stars in the company.

"Bro, back in the Attitude Era, if somebody got hurt, they were still on the show. They just wouldn't wrestle. We did that all the time. If Austin would get hurt or The Rock, I would say, 'Okay, they're gonna be on the show, we'll write them on the show. They're just not gonna wrestle.' Rhea Ripley is a huge star. Why can't they write for her without having her wrestle? I don't understand this... Why isn't she on the show now? She's got her arm in a sling, she can't get on an airplane?" [From 26:24 onwards]

Ripley's impressive reign as Women's World Champion came to an end at 380 days due to an untimely injury. It will be fascinating to see when Ripley returns to WWE television and how she will react to Liv Morgan playing mind games with The Judgment Day.
