WWE SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis shares heartwarming update

Nick Aldis has been an integral part of WWE programming over the last few months. The SmackDown General Manager recently shared a heartwarming update on social media.

On the October 13, 2023, edition of Friday Night SmackDown, WWE's Head of Creative introduced the 37-year-old as the new GM of the blue brand. Aldis became an instant crowd favorite thanks to his blunt approach that helped him stand out during segments with several top stars.

Nick Aldis recently took to X/Twitter to share a picture of himself alongside his son, wishing all the fathers a Happy Father's Day. Aldis claimed that he loved his job and stated he was grateful to the global juggernaut's upper management, including Triple H, Bruce Prichard, and Nick Khan.

"I love my job(s), and I'm grateful to Paul Levesque, Bruce Prichard, Nick Khan and the entire WWE Upper management. But it is my primary job that I hold dearest, being a father. Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there putting everything else in 2nd place," he wrote.

Nick Aldis addresses the possibility of competing in a WWE ring

Before signing with WWE, Nick Aldis made a name for himself as a capable in-ring performer. The former NWA World Heavyweight Champion has yet to wrestle for the Stamford-based company.

During an interview with Inside The Ropes, Aldis stated that he wanted to be a significant part of the wrestling promotion. He also pointed out that he shares a history with Cody Rhodes and LA Knight and also talked about his chemistry with Roman Reigns.

The former TNA World Heavyweight Champion further pointed out the possibility of having potential programs with the said names:

"I want to be a significant part of WWE programming. I really love where things are at for me at the moment. I think we've really only scratched the surface. The chemistry with Roman [Reigns] I felt was very obvious and palpable. There's something there. There's a history with Cody [Rhodes]. There's history with LA Knight. There's a lot of things that can be done. At the same time, there doesn't need to be any rush to do any of those things," he said.

Nick Aldis has thus far played the role of an authority figure to perfection. It remains to be seen if he will ever step inside the squared circle.
