WWE SmackDown star could take out Cody Rhodes after major win at Money in the Bank, says ex-host

After successfully defending his Undisputed WWE Championship at Clash at the Castle, Cody Rhodes could compete in another big match at Money in the Bank. A former WWE host suggested that although he could score another victory, the night might not end well for The American Nightmare.

The ex-host in question is Matt Camp. On his The Wrestling Matt podcast, he addressed The Bloodline's attack on Rhodes at Clash at the Castle. As Kevin Owens and Randy Orton came to the aid of The American Nightmare, the former RAW Talk host claimed the three superstars could team up to square off against The Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa in a six-man tag team match at Money in the Bank.

As Orton was seen staring at Rhodes' title at Clash at the Castle, Camp suggested a scenario that would see The Viper turn on The American Nightmare after their team defeats The Bloodline at the upcoming premium live event:

"There could be a moment at Money in the Bank if they do the six-man where Kevin leaves the ring and Randy sees the title on the ground and he goes to hand it to Cody and as he does, he yanks the title in and hits him with an RKO and off we're going. The idea though should be that Randy has and knew he could get close to Cody because he's one step ahead. He could say, 'Yeah, your dad might have taught you a lot, but I taught you a lot too. But I didn't teach you everything,'" he said. [From 10:40 to 11:07]

The former RAW Talk host believes the Undisputed WWE Champion's character needs to be "toughened up"

While discussing a potential clash between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton on his The Wrestling Matt podcast, Matt Camp pointed out that The American Nightmare has shown his nativity on multiple occasions.

Hence, the former RAW Talk host believes that the 38-year-old's character needs his potential feud with The Viper to "toughen up," comparing him to Shawn Michaels in 1997:

"The naivety of Cody, which we have seen on display getting faked out by AJ's retirement, the contract with Logan Paul, the afterglow of winning and finally vanquishing Roman Reigns, sending him away. It's just like Shawn Michaels and Mankind at In Your House: Mind Games in '96. Shawn needed to be toughened up. He needed to be hardened. And going somewhere different, having a very different kind of match with Mankind made that work for him. I think Cody needs that now," he explained. [From 11:08 to 11:49]

Matt Camp also discussed the one scenario in which Rhodes should drop the title to Orton at SummerSlam. It would be interesting to see if the ex-WWE host's predictions come true.
