WWE star Cody Rhodes reveals why he stopped appearing on popular show
Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes has shared why he stopped appearing on a popular show. The veteran is a former EVP in All Elite Wrestling but left the promotion to return to WWE at WrestleMania 38.
Cody Rhodes spoke with Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful in a recent interview and was asked why he stopped appearing on the Being The Elite series with Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks. The 38-year-old noted that he commits to everything he does and it had no longer fit in with his schedule:
"I think the workload for me was the problem. Because, I actually was really proud of "The Excorcism of Cody Rhodes" (episode 127 of BTE) and pretty much everything I had done on there. But I treated that the same way I am treating SummerSlam, in terms of I was very committed. I was very all in. And with the job that I had, and the other job I had, I think I just kind of fell out of the normal cast. Plus the cast changed, I want to say my last appearance was the drone funeral, I loved that.I thought that was a good way to go out. You never know, that is a show that is everywhere. So, who knows? I could make a cameo. I could make a return," said Rhodes. [From 00:11 - 00:57]

Vince Russo on WWE's booking of Cody Rhodes
Former WWE writer Vince Russo has taken the promotion to task for their plans for Cody Rhodes after he won the title.
Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Writing with Russo show, the legend discussed The American Nightmare's booking on the red brand. He claimed that his rivalry with AJ Styles was "filler" and said Rhodes was currently in a sea of obscurity as champion:
"Just another filler till we get to The Rock or Roman Reigns, that's all it is. With all the emphasis they put into, 'He's [Cody Rhodes] gotta finish his story!' They [WWE] had zero plans in place for after he finished his story. They should have had heels lined up—strong heels! They had nothing. So you literally got the champion by just kind of wallowing in a sea [of obscurity]. Yeah, man, that's where he is," he said. [From 0:45 onwards]
