WWE star comments on altercation between Adam Pearce and Drew McIntyre at Money in the Bank

Former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre had a physical altercation with Adam Pearce after Money in the Bank went off the air. The RAW General manager addressed the incident in a recent social media update. Backstage interviewer Jackie Redmond recently shared her reaction to the 46-year-old's social media post as well.

Drew McIntyre had the perfect start to the premium live event as he won the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Just as he had previously announced, the 39-year-old tried to cash in the contract the very same night. However, CM Punk appeared out of nowhere to attack The Scottish Warrior, which enabled Damian Priest to pin the latter and retain the World Heavyweight Championship.

After the premium live event ended, a visibly frustrated McIntyre sabotaged the post-show discussions featuring Wade Barrett, Big E, and Jackie Redmond. Adam Pearce tried to intervene and pull an irate McIntyre away from the desk, only to be at the receiving end of an elbow. The RAW General Manager got into McIntyre's face before Wade Barrett stopped the situation from further escalation.

After the show, Adam Pearce took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his take on the incident and apologized for his behavior. He further hinted at repercussions for McIntyre's actions. WWE backstage interviewer, Redmond, also reshared the GM's post, while referring to the latter's take on the entire situation as an "understatement," a word Pearce used three times in his tweet.

"Adam Pearce with an understatement regarding Drew McIntyre and the events that transpired on last night’s #MITB post show ⬇️😳," she wrote.

Drew McIntyre recently quit WWE, only to return within a week

Money in the Bank was not the first time CM Punk cost Drew McIntyre a championship win. The Best in the World appeared as a referee to help Damian Priest retain the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Clash at Castle: Scotland. On the following RAW, Drew McIntyre got inside the squared circle and announced that he was quitting.

However, it was all a massive ruse as he showed up on the following SmackDown in Chicago to attack CM Punk in the parking area. The Second City Saint had to be rushed to a nearby hospital. The former 3MB member returned to RAW next week and cut a promo, rejoicing at the attack he launched on the former World Champion.

McIntyre looked frustrated after the show last night. It will be interesting to see how he handles the loss this time around. It also bears watching if any further actions are taken against him for his physical altercation with WWE RAW General Manager, Adam Pearce.
