WWE star fires shots at Logan Paul after his brief appearance on SmackDown

WWE United States Champion Logan Paul will defend his title against LA Knight at SummerSlam. The match was made official this week on SmackDown.

Later, Santos Escobar met Knight backstage. During the confrontation, Escobar reminded The Megastar that during their Triple Threat match at Madison Square Garden, Knight pinned Logan and not him. This set up an encounter between the two stars for next week's SmackDown.

This week on SmackDown Lowdown, Knight took shots at Logan Paul and Santos Escobar. He pointed out how he had defeated Escobar in the past, and next week would be no different.

"We've been there before, we've done this story before and I remember you laying there pieces of canvas still stuck in your hair because I drilled your head so damn hard into the mat. It was a three count just like that." Knight continued, "Here's how it goes down my man, it's me, it's you and if you can't remember history, I'm gonna open that book right up for you. We're gonna go on down history 101 and then it's only me and Logan Paul." [From 0:19 - 1:01]

He then turned his attention to the US champ and declared he would win the coveted title at SummerSlam on August 3.

"Logan Paul, the man who finally figured out that he can show up and sign a contract and hand that title over to me. It can go no other way. SummerSlam, new US Champion with everybody saying LA Knight, yeah!" [From 1:02 - 1:14]

Logan Paul came to blows with LA Knight

This week on SmackDown, Logan Paul finally showed up to confront LA Knight. The Social Media Sensation berated his challenger during a fiery promo segment. He even called out Knight for pretending to be like The Rock.

LA Knight retaliated, calling the champ a fraud and urging him to sign the contract. Logan signed the contract, and things started heating up in the ring with General Manager Nick Aldis trying to maintain peace.

The champ pretended to walk out and then jumped back in to attack his opponent. As the brawl ensued, Knight almost caught The Maverick with the BFT before he escaped the ring.

It will be interesting to see if Knight can emerge victorious in his huge title clash with The Maverick.
