WWE star could immediately get suspended by Adam Pearce just weeks before Bad Blood, says analyst
Things are heating up on Monday Night RAW as WWE Bad Blood fast approaches. A wrestling analyst recently discussed a potential ending to the Drew McIntyre and CM Punk saga.
The two men have been feuding for the better part of 2024. After losing at SummerSlam, The Second City Saint finally got his pound of flesh when he defeated The Scotsman in a Strap Match at Bash in Berlin and got his bracelet back.
Just when CM Punk thought it was time to move on from Drew McIntyre and shift his focus to Gunther's World Heavyweight Title, things took an unexpected turn.
McIntyre brutally attacked Punk on RAW earlier this week. He snapped the bracelet in half and shoved its beads down his opponent's throat, causing The Best in the World to cough up blood. The Chicago native left the building on a stretcher and was taken to hospital.
Speaking on the Notsam Wrestling podcast, Sam Roberts said Adam Pearce could suspend Drew McIntyre for his actions on RAW. He also believes the aforementioned angle was played out to possibly write CM Punk off television:
"Now this could open the door to Adam Pearce suspending Drew McIntyre. This could open the door to CM Punk having to take time off for an injury," Roberts said.
Roberts thinks Punk and McIntyre could end their long-standing rivalry inside Hell in a Cell at Bad Blood on October 5:
"I think that what needs to happen is one more match, maybe it's a Hell in a Cell, whatever you want to do. It doesn't even have to be. We've never seen this match without a stipulation. We had a special referee match. We had a strap match. I say, maybe just a regular match, but probably not; there's too much going on here. Hell in a Cell might be a way to go," he added. The creator of CM Punk's family bracelet reacts to WWE RAW segment
CM Punk's bracelet, which had his wife and dog's name on it, was gifted to him by a fan.
The bracelet maker recently took to X (fka Twitter) to express her gratitude to WWE after seeing how the bracelet has been front and center of the storyline for months:
"Welp since the bracelet is broken I would like to thank and for the craziest 5 months ever. I have been a fan of WWE for over half of my life and I never would have imagined anything like this happening to me I am so grateful <3 ( watch your back)."
Drew McIntyre recently said he and CM Punk won't stop until one of them is not in WWE or under the same brand anymore. Will the two men end their rivalry at Bad Blood? Only time will tell.
